Here's a great resource for learning about all types of therapies. Some of the techniques we use include:


  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • "Third Wave" CBT (DBT, ACT): A full website dedicated to explaining
  • Family systems therapy: Good description here
  • Mindfulness and other mind-body techniques
  • EMDR



In a general sense, we think about problems in terms of frequency, intensity and duration. With any problem behavior or emotion, we determine if it is happening more frequently, with more intensity and/or for longer periods of time than we would expect.
